Kratie Flood 2014 {Jack of All Trades Link-Up}

Andrew is back from Kratie province, and I am so happy about it.

He and the Samaritan's Purse team road boats out to assess the needs of villagers displaced onto hills turned into islands by rising flood waters. Thankfully, the waters did not rise as high as predicted. But people were still displaced from their homes, along with their families and livestock. Andrew saw people sleeping out by the main road, surrounded by their cattle and the few belongings they brought with them.

Samaritan's Purse is working with the local government officials to distribute food and hygiene kits to people, as well as supporting the government's distribution of clean water supplies.

It's not every job in which you get to drive a boat and wear a life jacket! Here are a few photos of his trip (and you can also follow him on Instagram - @aconard09):

Even though Andrew is back in Poipet, please pray for the SP staff that continue working in Kratie in southeast Cambodia.

Today I'm co-hosting the Jack of All Trades Blog Link-up with Chantel from A Harvest of Blessing!

If you don't know what it is, a blog link-up happens when bloggers leave a link to one of their blog posts on the host's blog, then click on other links to discover new blogs. It's a way of finding new online friends and building community.

The Jack of All Trades link-up is so titled because it's a place for any and all bloggers to join - whether they write about food, lifestyle, family, or travel, all are welcome.

I participate in the Jack of All Trades link-up every week, and I have found some of my favorite writers through it. So even if you're not a blogger, take a minute to click on a link or two that interest you. You might discover your new favorite blog!

This link up is a place where we as bloggers can find new blogs to read, to be able to give encouragement to others and also be encouraged.

  1. Link up to one of your blog posts (not your blog homepage), the post can be on any subject but I do ask that posts are family friendly, any posts linked with inappropriate content will be deleted.
  2. Since the purpose of this link up is to get to know other bloggers and create a community you must leave encouraging comments on at least THREE other blogs, the one that is linked up before yours and at least two other ones.
  3. Link back to this post so we can grow this blogging community, you can use the button below if you like (your post will have to have a link back to A Harvest of Blessing in order for it to work).
