Merry {Late} Christmas

I really didn't mean to go all week without posting - really. I would have told you if so. But, maybe I should have expected it, considering we were on vacation at the beach, and the computer is definitely less interesting than swimming in the ocean.

I will hopefully sort through our photos and stories and post them during the coming week - maybe providing a few tips for those who are able to make a trip down there, or just for those who like to dream. It was a really restful week - a Christmas "babymoon" of sorts for us, as we are gearing into the last trimester before this babe makes his appearance. I'm still trying to get out of vacation mode and into real-life-mode - it's so painful, right?

Honestly, we had a great week of vacation, and a not-so-great day getting back to Poipet. It took us much longer to get home than normal due to atrocious highway traffic, and when we were crossing the border from Thailand to Cambodia, some Cambodian teenage girls stole Andrew's iPhone, just purchased three months ago during our home leave in September. Nothing says "welcome back home" like getting robbed. And I feel as upset about it as Andrew - I hate feeling helpless when someone I love is in anguish. But God is teaching us a few lessons about forgiveness and anger, material possessions, and where our treasure lies, so I'll probably share about that, too.

I'm also diving into planning for the coming month - January will be one wild ride. So you'll get a peek at my goals (preview: starting my Powersheets for 2014 - first time ever) and what might be in store for us in the coming year.

So as soon as I can get over my vacation-lag, I'm sure it's going to be a good week here in Cambodia.
