Photos of the Day

The weather has been dramatically cooler this past week, so much that everyone has been wearing sweaters, thick pants, and socks with their flip-flops - just like our neighbors.

At the thyroid clinic, we often find patients that have large fluid-filled cysts on their thyroids. Today's patient topped all our others, with 6 syringes of fluid pulled out of her cyst - 84 ml (just under 3 ounces). This photo is purely for the gratification of all my nursing friends out there following our blog.

Although we rarely take care of children in the thyroid clinic, mothers often bring their children with them to their appointments. I can't lie - they are definitely one of the bright spots in my day. Especially when they are as cute as this little girl.
