A New Health Center

Last week, while in Phnom Penh, I drove out with Andrew to inspect a new health center funded by Samaritan's Purse. This health centers serves a large area, including a near-by resettlement camp. Dozens of women give birth here every month. This was the previous health center.

And this is the new one!

Since Andrew is the only engineer on staff with Samaritan's Purse in Cambodia right now, he helped out another project by viewing the final construction and making recommendations on minor improvements before the clinic opened for business.

Below is a photo of one of the nurse midwives, Jendaa, and the construction manager. I enjoyed talking with Jendaa about nursing and the women she cared for who came to the clinic. She was so happy about having a spacious new clinic to work in. I wish she had smiled in this photo, because she had the most beautiful smile. I love meeting other nurses working in Cambodia who have a heart to help people.
